Description

As an Orthopedic Surgeon at 77 Consultants, you will diagnose and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions, perform surgical procedures, and develop comprehensive treatment plans that restore mobility and improve quality of life. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to clinical excellence, evidence-based medicine, and compassionate patient care within the medical practice industry.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, and sports injuries.
Perform surgical procedures such as joint replacements, arthroscopic surgeries, and fracture repairs with precision and care.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, medical history, and diagnostic findings.
Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to guide clinical decision-making.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education on recovery and rehabilitation.
Document patient evaluations, procedures, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency orthopedic cases as needed.
Counsel patients on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and long-term musculoskeletal health.
Stay current with advances in orthopedic surgery techniques, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery.
Board certification or active board eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
Strong surgical skills and proficiency in modern orthopedic procedures and techniques.
Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and patient care.
Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to ethical and professional medical standards.

Position Details:

1:7 or 1:8 call rotation

Will cover shifts at two facilities

Schedule: 8a-5p, 5 days per week

Onsite imaging available

Case Types: Total joint and adult reconstruction cases involving knees, hips, and shoulders

Support Staff: PAs and first assist APPs in the OR

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

Accepting new grads or experienced surgeons
