As an Emergency Medicine physician, you will play a critical role in assessing and treating patients in urgent medical situations. Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in urgent situations
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Administer treatments according to established protocols
- Stabilize patients and manage critical conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Participate in ongoing education and training
- Contribute to the development of emergency protocols and procedures
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions regarding patient care
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Experience in emergency medical services is preferred
Schedule: 1,536 hours per year
No call requirement
Annual Volume: 45-50K patients
Lots of geriatrics with increasing acuity levels
60% clinical, 40% administrative
No trauma cases
CVU, vertical care space, observation unit, and fast-track
Will supervise physicians, APPs, and nurses
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
