As a Locum NP in Psychiatry, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients, using your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat various psychiatric conditions. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to innovative treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Manage and prescribe psychiatric medications
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care
- Document patient interactions and treatment progress accurately
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions
- Participate in continuous education and training sessions
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health
- Current NP licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of current psychiatric practices and therapeutic techniques
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
Flexible Schedule: 9a-5p, three days per week
No call requirement
Setting: Patients' homes & local office
Patient Population: Adults
Duties: Psychiatric evaluations, medication management and prescribing, treatment planning, and psychiatric crisis intervention
Case Types: Severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar, etc.
EMR: Foothold Technology
Must be board-certified
