In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various orthopedic conditions, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This position is vital in ensuring that our patients receive excellent care, and your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall success of our practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients' orthopedic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform surgical procedures as required, adhering to best practices
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educate patients and their families about orthopedic health and recovery
- Stay informed on advancements and best practices in orthopedic medicine
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in orthopedic practice
- Proficiency in performing orthopedic surgeries and specialized procedures
- Strong diagnostic and evaluation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Current medical licensure to practice in the state of New York
Level II Trauma
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 3-4 or 5-10 consecutive shifts
Annual Volume: 500 cases
No pelvic cases
Support Staff: Orthopedic surgery APPs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
