. This on-site, contract position offers an exciting opportunity for an Associate-level physician to deliver exceptional care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions.

As a Locum Gastroenterology physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive system disorders, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical findings and best practices.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical records in compliance with facility policies.
Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
Provide consultations for complex gastroenterology cases and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Ensure adherence to all medical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in on-call coverage and emergency consultations as required.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcome evaluations.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology.
Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology.
Associate-level clinical experience, with a proven track record in gastroenterology practice.
Proficiency in endoscopic procedures and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
Ability to work on-site at the designated location in Vineland for the duration of the contract.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical documentation standards.
Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification as required by the facility.

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

Daily Volume: 12-20 patients
